Knauf Cleaneo® Akustik panels effectively participate in the process of improving the acoustics in rooms, having the ability to reduce reverberation, thereby reducing the echo effect. This property is mainly due to the openings throughout the surface of the board which disperse the sound waves. The perforated board has a front side and a reverse side, the front side of the board is cardboard for better and easier handling, and the reverse side is laminated with an acoustic veil that helps for better acoustic performance and comes in white and black.

Knauf Cleaneo® Akustik boards are perforated boards that contain special catalytic substances in their gypsum core.They convert odorous and harmful substances into harmless ones.The catalytic process is carried out without the accumulation of harmful substances or the consumption of additives, so the duration of Knauf Cleaneo® Akustik is practically unlimited. The degradation of harmful substances can be accelerated by air movements in the room /e.g. from a ceiling fan, air conditioning, etc./. In the case of perforated boards, faster degradation of pollutants is also achieved by the greater effective surface area of the boards. The duration of the degradation process, depending on the concentration of the substances, the coating of the panels, the perforation and the air movement, amounts to several hours.
