Knauf Cleaneo® Akustik SK panels feature a standard 4SK edge and are installed with a 3 mm joint, which is filled with Uniflott. They are marked on the front edges with red and blue.
Before applying an additional coating to the gypsum boards, they should be cleaned of dust and primed. The primer should be compatible with the subsequent products used to paint or coat the gypsum board surface.
To balance the different absorbent properties of the jointed surface and the cardboard, suitable priming products include Knauf Tiefengrund deep-penetrating primer or Knauf Spezialgrund special contact primer.
